- I tried for two months to get my birds to eat another pelleted food. They devoured this on the first day! It helped one of my chubby birds get to optimum weight.
- When I bought my two cockatiels from a high end local bird store, they sold me the Zupreem “Canary and Finch” product. When that was gone, I ended up buying this product. The pellets are too large for cockatiels, as most of it ends up at the bottom of the bird cage as waste. The “Canary and Finch” product lasted about twice as long as the product made for cockatiels. The ingredients were identical for both. The cockatiel product would be ideal for slightly larger birds.
- If you do buy this or any of the other Zupreem products on line, don’t let the shipping and handling charges stop you from buying. Even though the S&H charges were about the same as the product itself, I found it still to be cheaper than going to the pet store. I check three different pet stores, a national chain, a local chain, and the high end local store I bought my birds from. In all three cases it was still slightly cheaper buying from Amazon, even with the added S&H charges.
